Weekly meeting at Bella’s Restaurant, Paul Wilken member, board director and chairman of the Paul Harris Fellow for the Celina Rotary club spoke about the up and coming fund drive.
The mission of The Rotary Foundation is to enable Rotary members to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty. The Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation supported solely by voluntary contributions from Rotary members and friends of the Foundation who share its vision of a better world. This support is essential to make possible projects, funded with Foundation grants, that bring sustainable improvement to communities in need.
The Celina Rotary Club through the efforts of Paul Wilken and it’s member strive to have 100% participation each year by each member donating a minimum of $100.00. The Celina Club is recognized annually by the local district as a club meeting and surpassing this goal. The Celina Club has also been fortunate to receive back the monies plus more in local grants through the years along with helping in support of the Mexican Mission Projects.
